Community Composition

Over the years I have often worked in the community, generally as a composer in residence. Often I have been involved in collaborative ventures with other artists - creating soundscape for Gallery exhibitions for example. Snippets from two of those can be heard and seen in videos on the video page.
Four projects for which I include audio examples below, are typical of my work in the community. In 2002 I worked on a project in the Riverside Gardens called Passing Through, in 2004 I worked with La Luna Youth Arts in a project called Splish Splash, in 2001 with children from the Marian School with Can you see into the future, and in 1997 I created a work Tries and Tribulations for the Lewers Gallery In Penrith. In 2004 I worked on a community project called Splish Splash. An ABC commission for a 3 minute work for radio at the same time allowed him to use the participants from that project along with one or two professional artists to create the following:
