Over the years I have been involved in many video projects. Virtually every project in which I am now involved includes a video component. Some of them are included here.
Burning Cane
A soundscape I created with interviews of cane growers from the Burdekin in North Queensland accompanies the photos of Brian Rogers. We created this piece for an exhibition in about 2004. The original soundscape (of which this is a very reduced version) was about 22 minutes in length.

Body Parts
An improvisation I created accompanies photos of the images of the visual artist Gerald Soworka from an exhibition of Gerald's presented at Umbrella Studio in Townsville in September 2006. The title of the exhibition from memory was "The eroticism of embodiment", which seems to wonderfully capture the experience

Michele and Michael Improvisation 1
Visual artist Michele Deveze and I took advantage of a videoing opportunity in 2008 to create 3 short pieces. From my position as the musician I put together some material for the music and then "went with the moment" during the video shoot. It reminded me of the analogue recording days when you sat at the mixing desk with up to 24 tracks to mix and just "went for it". Mix 1 might have had too many mistakes, mix 2 might be strong here, mix 3 was this etc. The video was filmed by John Robertson and edited by Marta Botta.
